Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actor, is well-known for her work in film and on television since the mid 1980s. The actress has won numerous accolades including the Golden Globe Award and 16 NAACP Image Awards. Her work has earned her recognition for her film and TV performances since the early 1980s. Her awards comprise the two Golden Globe Awards, sixteen NAACP Image Awards as well as nominations for Academy Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett grew up at Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an Aunt and Uncle in New York New York. Bassett was able to move with her younger twin sister in St. Petersburg Florida at the age of five to be near their mother as she was divorced from their father. Bassett was in high school when she was able to see James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck production Of Mice and Men and realized that her desire of becoming an actor had been born. Yale University New Haven Connecticut granted her a bachelor's degree (1980) which was in African American study, and an honorary doctorate (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. The year 1997 was the time she got married to Courtney B. Vance who was a fellow actor. Qualification: B.A. Degree in African-American Studies in 1980, Master of Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grade) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her main parts, Ramonda, in the action adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
